Cooking Tecnogas - Italian home cooking appliances Tecnogas is an Italian brand of home cooking appliances, strong yet elegantly designed, featuring uncompromising performance and quality. Tecnogas was born in 1952 from the genius, the passion and the pride of two Italian brothers, Giorgio and Gianni Contini. Giorgio “the passionate” and Gianni “the rational”, both in their twenties, one day decided to create a revolutionary appliance to cook. When every manufacturer was making basic devices, the Contini’s integrated the hob and the gas-bottle compartment in one single piece, named Mobilfornello, that means furniture-cooker. Before them, it was just a set of burners, now it is a device and a piece of furniture at the same time: the modern free standing cooker. Following our founders legacy, we still design eye-catching appliances perfect for cooking, and still handcraft them in Gualtieri, in the centre of Emilia Romagna region. Emilia Romagna is the Italian quintessence for three reasons. First, his cuisine is celebrated as the best, and consequently Emilia Romagna is the centre of national food business. We are also good engineers. All the Italian sports cars and motorbikes are made in the region, called the Motor Valley, and everybody here has great confidence with gears and steel. Nevertheless we are surrounded by masterpieces of fine arts, and even a small place like Gualtieri enjoys a magnificent square as a tangible connection between yesterday and today.
